PLT R2 2022 Technical Release Notes

With the R2 2022 release, the platform now includes the following changes:

Improvements

  • External Behavior Type: Our rules engine now supports incentivization of behaviors whose data originates from external objects, enabling use cases involving data that don't normally sit on your Salesforce org. You can even segment your members based on external object data.
  • Challenges at Scale: Our challenge (over time) incentive processing is now even more performant for rewarding at the end of the incentive period. We've also included a Closing Status tab where you can monitor the closing batch job progress for each of your challenges.
    • Note: If using leaderboards in any of your Challenges, be sure to schedule the Challenge Leaderboard batch to run before the Challenge Status batch (for example, one day prior).
  • The new Lightning Component Summer ‘22 is not compatible with the older versions of lightning components from Fielo. The new LCs should use the new member selector and the old ones should use the old member selector.
  • Preloaded Unique Codes: We've added a new option for generating unique redemption codes that are especially suited for high-volume programs. With preloaded unique codes, Fielo generates and stores unique codes ahead of time, guaranteeing reliable delivery of unique codes to your members, at scale.
  • Cache Refactor: The cache from the older version was improved to be faster, and consistent with the new features. We've also included a new page to consult the cache stored by Fielo.
  • New Objects available to be translated: Now Criterions, Criterion Groups, and Currencies are able to be translated for our Languages feature.
  • Clear Deactivated & Deleted Level History Batch: There is a new Batch called Clear Deactivated & Deleted Level History called every time a level is inactivated, deleting existing level members associated with the level and calling the Assign Levels batch to reevaluate those member’s level.
  • Prevent Records Reprocessing: There is a new feature in actions that will prevent a record to be processed multiple times and generate undesired outcomes when calling the SObjectService.processRecords(records, existingRecords); with null in the second parameter. The engine was treating those calls as an insert of the record and would generate an outcome (if eligible) any time the API is called for a given record. One must go to Fielo > Tools > "Library" > "Behavior Type" > "Action" > edit and check "Prevent Record Reprocessing" in order to make use of the new feature benefits.
  • Ability to audit processed records that did not generate rewards: When a record of an external object is processed but does not generate a reward, create a traceable record that can be used for auditing purposes. It should be possible to see the record snapshot, the job ID of the Apex job that processed the record, and the member for which it was processed.
