Incentives: Promotions

Create and configure Promotions

Promotions is a way of encouraging Members to behave in a particular way so as to drive their engagement. Promotions can be addressed to different audiences (depending on Segmentation) within a specific time period and may go through a range of statuses along their way.

Promotions consist of one or more Rules.


Creating Promotions

From Incentives click New Promotion in the right area of the page. The Promotion form must be completed by following the guidelines below to define, save and activate your Promotion.

Select Program

In case you have more than one Program available, you must select in which Program you want the Promotion to belong to.

Enter your Promotion Name

After selecting a Program (if applicable), you must choose a name for your Promotion in the open textbox, visible on the Incentives page.

Creating Promotions

Set a Period

Promotions do not required any Start or End Date. In those cases, they become Active when manually activating them or otherwise they remain in Draft status. If no end date is established, Promotion lasts indefinetely as long as it remains Active.

Select a Model (Optional)

If you or a colleague has created a Promotion Model, you can use it to automatically configure your Promotion with the Rules, Rewards, etc. contained in the model. This section is optional and appears only when one or more Models are available for use.

You can only apply a Model when first creating a Promotion. This option is not available when editing a Promotion later on.

Choose Segments (Optional)

Optionally, you can target your Promotions to one or more Segments you've defined in your Program. To add a Segment, select it on the list to the left and click .To remove one, select it on the lift to the right and click .You can leave your Promotion open to all segments by leaving the list on the right empty.

When you're ready, click Save.

Promotion Segments

Only Members who are part of the selected Segments can be later included in the Promotion.

Editing Promotions

After creating and saving a Promotion, your Promotion has draft Status. This step lets you to modify any information needed before Promotion becomes active.

Activating Promotions

You must activate your Promotions before Members can participate in it.

Before activating your Promotion, it must have at least one Rule.

Promotion Management Tools

There are several Tools that let you manage your Promotion. You can access these Tools by clicking on the Promotion detail page.

Delete

Select Delete to delete this Challenge.

Page Settings Management

Select Page Settings Management to configure the Page Settings for the Promotions page.

Export

The Export tool allow you to export all data stored in Promotions, which can include their Rules from the chosen Program. Upon exporting, you'll get access to a JSON file in the following format:

  • FieloPLT__Promotion__c
    • FieloPLT__Rule__c
      • FieloPLT__Criterion__c
    • FieloPLT__KPIDomain__c
    • FieloPLT__EmailCampaign__c

Import

Select Import to import Promotions you or a colleague has previously exported.

Simply upload a JSON file containing all the data for the Promotions you wish to import. In most cases, this will be one that's been previously exported from another ORG, so you won't need to make any changes. We do, however, advise you to validate the JSON file before uploading.

Once you're ready, just hit Import.

If the Promotions you're importing use your own custom Actions, you must first import those Actions into your Local Development Library.

Save as Model

Save as Model allows you to save your Promotion for reuse as a Model when you create a new Promotion. This way, you don't have to configure everything from scratch if your new Promotion has many of the same characteristics as this one.
