Getting Started with Messaging

Keep your members updated and engaged

Messaging helps you send e-mails to welcome members to the program, encourage them to participate, notify them about new promotions and challenges, and congratulate them on earning points and rewards. It's your way of reaching out to your members and keep them coming back!

You can also use an external e-mail provider like SendGrid to send bulk e-mails to your members without overloading Salesforce resources.

Make your life easier by using our pre-made e-mail templates. Some templates come ready-made when you install Fielo packages, but if you'd like to create a new template, it's a straightforward process. You can use those templates for both Transactional E-mails and Campaign E-mails.

With your templates ready, you can choose the type of messages you want to send depending on your needs:

  • Set up Transactional E-mails to communicate on an individualized basis with your members when they perform actions.
  • Use Campaign E-mails to create marketing-type email campaigns destined for multiple recipients (e.g. all members, members who live on the west coast, etc.).

Ensure communication with your members is compliant with privacy regulations using Consents. Consents are granular member opt-ins to receive program communication. You can choose to ask members to agree to receive:

  • Program Notifications, which correspond to Transactional E-mails.
  • Marketing Communication, which refers to Campaign E-mails.

Email Sender

E-mails should be sent to members from an e-mail address that represents the organization. Salesforce automatically adopts one of the e-mail addresses configured in Organization-Wide Addresses as its sending e-mail account.

Multiple Organization-Wide Addresses

If your org has more than one organization address, any one of those addresses may be chosen as email sender. If you want to guarantee that a particular sender address be displayed, make sure it is the only organization-wide address in your org.
